2024 Super Bowl betting preview: Travis Kelce prop among insider's best early plays for 49ers-Chiefs
The Super Bowl markets move in mysterious ways.
I figured money would start pouring in on Kansas City after this spread opened larger than I expected (49ers -2.5). And it did… until it didn't. Seeing this available back around 2 was too much for me resist – for reasons I will explain below – and there were also some totals and props I wanted to jump on early, in many cases anticipating this kind of value will not be there closer to the game. That's particularly the case with some of the more household names, who by their very nature invite the kind of non-traditional bettors that are already a part of the Super Bowl tapestry (yeah, one tight end in particular).
Frankly, I was shocked at how high the potential returns are for players like Travis Kelce and Isiah Pacheco, although, again, they're starting to move. I strongly believe there will be ample opportunity to cash in on those involved in both clubs' running games, both at their cores and on the periphery. As we conclude what has been a very successful postseason for us (66% overall), we're going back to some of the same wells that have helped us get to this point.
Before you make any Super Bowl picks, you'll want to see what NFL insider Jason La Canfora has to say. La Canfora has taken an early look at the games and found a number of best bets and lines to keep an eye on. He has picks for both teams, including a prop play on Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. You NEED to see his analysis before locking in any NFL picks of your own.
