The PGA Tour remains in the Aloha State as they travel from Kapalua to Waialae Country Club for the 2024 Sony Open. The first full-field event of the season, the Sony Open will welcome a sneaky strong field to the par-70 course as players like Ludvig Aberg, Tyrrell Hatton, Matt Fitzpatrick and Brian Harman make the trip over from The Sentry.

Catering to many different skillsets, the Sony Open has often seen those who played the week before raise the trophy come Sunday. In fact, nine of the last 11 winers of this event have played in The Sentry. This statistic is two-fold in nature as (1) the best players tend to play in The Sentry each year and (2) four competitive rounds under a prolonged break can only help.

Aberg will be the main man tasked with continuing this trend as the Swede arrives as the tournament favorite. Experiencing some turbulence in his debut appearance at The Sentry, the RSM Classic winner will hope for smoother airs at Waialae Country Club. Fitzpatrick and Hatton round out those below +2000 while Will Zalatoris and Maverick McNealy make their long awaited return to the PGA Tour following their injury hiatuses.
