The final event of the FedEx Cup Fall takes place this week at the 2024 RSM Classic as players vie for crucial points to secure playing privileges for the 2025 season. With full-time PGA Tour cards, Official World Golf Rankings points ahead of the year-end deadline for major championship qualifications and much more on the line, players will take to the two-course rotation at Sea Island.

Headlining the field is the player who shattered scoring records a season ago en route to his first PGA Tour victory. Ludvig Åberg returns to action for the first time since the Tour Championship and the young Swede took time away from the golf course to attend to a knee injury. Undergoing a successful surgery, Åberg looks to successfully defend his title and ease back into playing form.

He is joined in the field by a large Sea Island contingent as a number of PGA Tour players call the local island home. Davis Thompson — son of the tournament director — seeks his second PGA Tour victory as well, while J.T. Poston aims to capture his second PGA Tour victory of the fall. 

Brian Harman hopes to grab his first win since The Open while Denny McCarthy still searches for the first of his career. Si Woo Kim is in need of OWGR points to qualify for the Masters while Ben Griffin, Harris English and Chris Kirk round out the crop of Georgia boys teeing it up.
