2024 College Football Playoff odds: Ranking best national championship picks entering conference championship weekend

SportsLine writer Gene Menez ranks his top five national championship winner picks by odds value entering Week 15

Less than a week remains before the College Football Playoff bracket is released, and the 12-team field is becoming clear. Eight teams—Oregon, Texas, Penn State, Notre Dame, Georgia, Tennessee, Ohio State and Indiana—appear to be locks to reach the playoff. Three of the other four spots will go to the champions of the ACC, Big 12 and Mountain West, leaving one at-large spot for SMU (if it loses the ACC Championship Game), Miami and the three-loss SEC threesome of Alabama, Ole Miss and South Carolina.

With Ohio State's loss to Michigan last week, Oregon has emerged as the betting favorite in the national title odds, at +350. Texas (+400), Georgia (+475) and Ohio State (+475) round out the top four betting choices.

Here are my College Football Playoff national championship value rankings entering Week 15.
