Week 8 of the USFL season is upon us and we're in the stretch run with just three weeks left in the regular season. All eight teams are still technically in the USFL playoff hunt but it's the South Division that is particularly bunched up with the Birmingham Stallions at 5-2 and the three other teams in the division at 4-3. This week's action begins with Gamblers vs. Maulers at noon ET on Saturday and wraps up with Panthers vs. Breakers on Sunday at 4 p.m. ET. "Pivotal game for both teams, as they face a crossroads in Week 8. Michigan is coming off of a win, while the Breakers offense has them in sort of a tailspin," Hunt said. "Look for the importance of the game, which features both teams trying to stay in contention, to get the best defensive effort out of both. But I foresee the Breakers offense getting back to its early season efficiency in this one."
