Some of the country's top older dirt courses will square off when the starting gate opens in the 2023 Oaklawn Handicap on Saturday at Oaklawn Park. The Todd Pletcher-trained Charge It is the 8-5 favorite in the 2023 Oaklawn Handicap odds. The D. Wayne Lukas-trained Last Samurai is the 2-1 second choice in the seven-horse 2023 Oaklawn Handicap field. One surprise: Weir is down on the chances of Last Samurai, even though he's the 2-1 second choice on the morning line. "He's clearly a different horse at Oaklawn Park, but I have some concerns whether this 5-year-old can put a third top race on top of the last two," Weir told SportsLine.
