2023 NFL Playoffs Bills vs. Dolphins odds, line: Miami expert releases spread pick for Sunday's showdown

Larry Hartstein, who is 26-14-1 on his last 41 picks involving the Dolphins, has released his pick for Sunday's Wild Card matchup between Miami and Buffalo

The Buffalo Bills will host the AFC East-rival Miami Dolphins on Sunday as part of NFL Super Wild Card Weekend 2023 schedule on CBS and Paramount+. The Bills (13-3) have won seven straight games, while the Dolphins (9-8) lost five of their final six. The teams split the two meetings in the regular season, with each team winning at home. Miami will be without starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa as he recovers from a concussion, and that has led to Buffalo listed as the biggest favorite in Wild Card Playoff history. You can stream the game on Paramount+, which you can try completely free for seven days.

Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. ET. Buffalo is a 14-point favorite in the latest Dolphins vs. Bills odds from Caesars Sportsbook, while the over/under for total points scored is 44. Before you make any Bills vs. Dolphins picks or NFL Super Wild Card Weekend predictions, you need to see the NFL Playoffs predictions from SportsLine senior analyst Larry Hartstein.

A former lead writer for Covers and The Linemakers, Hartstein combines a vast network of Vegas sources with an analytical approach he honed while working for Pro Football Focus. He entered the 2022 NFL season 427-344 all-time on NFL side picks (plus $3,764 for $100 players), including 394-330 against the spread. Hartstein went 68-50 ATS and 8-3 on money-line plays last season for a profit of $1,552.

Hartstein also is an incredible 26-14-1 (+1044) on last 41 picks involving the Dolphins, meaning he's uniquely qualified to make this pick.

Hartstein knows Buffalo is second in total yards (398 per game) and scoring (28.4 points). Buffalo ranks in the top 10 in passing and rushing and faces a Dolphins pass defense that is 27th (235 yards per game). Allen averages 268 yards per game and has topped 300 in both contests against Miami this season. Buffalo has won eight of the past nine meetings.

But Hartstein also is aware that the Dolphins also have one of the best passing offenses in the league. The unit is fourth in passing yards (265) and sixth in total yards (364). Miami averages 23.4 points per game, 11th in the NFL. Being without Tagovailoa will hurt, but expected starter Skylar Thompson can count on receivers Tyreek Hill, who is second in the NFL with 1,710 yards, and Jaylen Waddle (1,356) to make big plays.

Now, Hartstein has locked in another confident against-the-spread pick for Dolphins vs. Bills. We can tell you he's leaning under on the point total, but he knows a crucial X-factor makes one side of the spread a MUST-BACK! You ABSOLUTELY need to see what it is before locking in any picks of your own. And don't forget to stream on Paramount+ FREE for seven days!
