2023 Nebraska Cornhuskers win total betting strategy: Time for Matt Rhule to clean up Scott Frost's mess
So much for that grand plan. We're talking about the homecoming of Scott Frost, one of the most-decorated quarterbackss of the glory era at Nebraska, who returned to Lincoln amid great fanfare in 2018 as the head coach after a wildly-successful run at UCF. Surely this would end a disappointing run of Cornhusker hires. But Frost could never ignite the program, and one more chance from athletic director Trev Alberts last season was always going to be nothing more than whistling past the graveyard. After an opening loss to Northwestern in Dublin, and a home loss to Clay Helton's Georgia Southern two weeks later, Alberts had seen enough, and the remainder of 2022 became effective damage control in Lincoln under interim Mickey Joseph.
