Arsenal are coming off a wildly successful yet disappointing season, and they will be hungry for more when the 2023-24 English Premier League season kicks off. The Gunners are set to face Manchester City for the Community Shield before taking on Nottingham Forest in their EPL opener on Aug. 12. 

They can only hope the 2023-24 campaign starts as well as last season did. The Gunners came out of the gate 16-2-1 and seized the top spot in the Premier League table. They had a five-point lead over City in early March but stumbled down the stretch and ended up second. 

They finished the season 26-6-6 and ended up five points behind Manchester City, who clinched their third straight title with two games to spare. Still, Arsenal qualified for the Champions League for the first time in five years, and manager Mikel Arteta has a lot of young talent to mold into a team that could be a contender for years.

Arsenal are the +800 second favorite in the 2023-24 EPL futures at Caesars Sportsbook, with Manchester City installed as the clear -175 favorites. Liverpool, the 2021-22 runners-up who finished fifth last year, are priced at +850. Manchester United (+1000), Chelsea (+1600) and Tottenham (+1800) are the only others priced shorter than 50-1.

The 2023-24 English Premier League season kicks off Aug. 11 wtih City visiting newly-promoted Burnley in the Friday opener. There's a full slate over that weekend, and United host West Ham on Monday, Aug. 14.
