2022 FIFA World Cup France vs. Morocco odds, picks: Bets bets and predictions for Wednesday's semifinal match from soccer computer model

SportsLine's soccer simulation model is on a 25-11-4 run on its spread picks, and now it has its selections for Wednesday's semifinal matchup between France and Morocco at Lusail Stadium

France are back in the semifinals and will try to end Morocco's dream run when the teams face off Wednesday in a 2022 FIFA World Cup match at Al Bayt Stadium. Morocco are the first African team to make the semifinals, and now they face the defending champions. France found a way to beat England 2-1 on Saturday despite being outplayed for much of the match. Morocco stunned another soccer power in Saturday's earlier match, knocking off Portugal 1-0. They also beat Spain in the Round of 16.

The match in Al Khor, Qatar will kick off at 2 p.m. ET. France are the -185 favorites (risk $185 to win $100) in the latest France vs. Morocco odds from Caesars Sportsbook, with Morocco +550 underdogs. A draw is priced at +295 and the over/under for total goals is set at 2.5. (For more soccer coverage, click here.)

Before you lock in your Morocco vs. France picks or World Cup 2022 predictions, you need to see what SportsLine's soccer simulation model has to say.

The SportsLine soccer simulation model evaluates a team's offensive and defensive capabilities based on the game situation. Then, it assigns a grade using an expected payout-to-probability ratio. The model was accurate on 56% of all picks during the Champions League group stage and returned more than $1,000 to $100 bettors on its A+ picks. It also enters the World Cup semifinals on a 33-15-4 run on spread picks, returning more than $1,400 for $100 bettors. Anyone who has followed it has seen HUGE returns.

The model knows France are veterans of this stage, having reached the final three times in their past six appearances, winning titles in 1998 and 2018. They managed to beat a loaded England team despite not having their best day, with Olivier Giroud netting the winner for his fourth goal of the tournament. Kylian Mbappe has five, and he is the best young striker in the world. France have an 11-5 goal advantage over Morocco in Qatar and a 30-13 edge in shots on target.

The model also has considered that Morocco will have a ton of backing from fans, and they have been stellar defensively. Their only goal conceded so far in Qatar was an own goal. They also have a 13-9 edge in shots on target on opponents despite averaging less than 32% possession. With their midfield sitting deep to clog the passing and shooting lanes and finishers like Hakim Ziyech and Youssef En-Nesyri up front, they have the right combination to surprise anyone.

Now, the model has taken an in-depth look at the Morocco vs. France match from every angle. It is leaning under on the total, and it says one side of the money line has all the value! You ABSOLUTELY need to see it before locking in any 2022 World Cup picks.
