    OAKLAND RAIDERS AT WASHINGTON REDSKINS (+3, O/U 54), Sunday, 8:30 p.m. ET

As the Raiders head east for the second time this season, they find themselves northern-most in the standings after a 2-0 start.

The Redskins return from a West Coast trip, successful in many respects, that leveled their record. They were the lone NFC East team to win last weekend.

    LINE MOVEMENTS, TRENDS

The public pushed the early line of 2.5 by a point in Oakland’s direction, then drove it a half-point the other way.

The Raiders tend to crank it up in Week Three. They are on a 6-1 ATS streak. And they have covered in 10 of the latest 13 roadies.

    BREAKDOWN

David Carr for MVP? Perhaps, with the QB connecting on 75 percent and throwing no interceptions so far. In fact, the Raiders have yet to record a turnover, and Carr has been picked only a half-dozen times since the dawn of the 2016 season.

Both squads are delighted with their ground game. RB Marshawn Lynch has brought needed brute strength to Oakland’s rushing attack. The Skins were lifted by a minimum of at least 67 yards on Sunday from three RBs.

Washington QB Kirk Cousins has been no Carr so far, and he might be missing TE Jordan Reed (chest). Veteran Vernon Davis would be dusted off to fill in.

Of greater concern in DC is the fate of CB Josh Norman (shoulder). Oakland's tall, sturdy WRs are a tough matchup -- Michael Crabtree has three TDs off the bat -- and Norman's absence could be impactful.

From Oakland's viewpoint, no injury could tip the scales more than DE Khalil Mack's (ankle). He is the shining light on an occasionally suspect defense.
