Today's picks: Top Rams-Seahawks props, plus more NFL, MLB playoffs and college football picks for Thursday

SportsLine's featured experts share their favorite bets on the Early Edge podcast for Thursday, Oct. 7

Jonathan Coachman is joined by featured betting experts Mike McClure, Matt Severance, Allan Bell and Larry Hartstein on the Early Edge podcast, powered by SportsLine. Get the top plays for the NFL, MLB Playoffs and college football for Thursday, Oct. 7.

The Coach reminds us of upcoming Thursday Night Football and MMA episodes. Matt looks at some unique trends on the undefeated Arizona Cardinals. Allan says this is the perfect week for Derrick Henry props, highlighting his amazing career production vs. the Jaguars. Larry has his eye on the Week 5 Lions-Vikings clash, as Detroit has been ravaged by injuries and Minnesota is set for a rebound outing.

The SportsLine Play of the Day is Coastal Carolina -19.5 over Arkansas State at 7:30 p.m. ET. Coastal Carolina is absolutely rolling right now, especially on offense, so this should be a blowout.

Mike is taking Rams-Seahawks Under 54.5 points at 8:20 p.m. ET. Both teams play at a very slow pace, and the Rams will also try to take away the deep ball from Seattle and force the Seahawks to rely more on their ground game, especially if Chris Carson is out. Los Angeles will still take some big-play chances, though, so Mike is on Robert Woods to go Over 21.5 yards on his longest reception. "If you've followed anything in the media here, Woods is obviously complaining a lot," he says. "This is absolutely an elite matchup for him. We know this is a spot where the Rams are going to be able to throw. The Seahawks defense can't really cover anyone. They run the single high safety, so there's going to be opportunities for deeper shots downfield."

Matt is going with the Astros -130 over the White Sox in Game 1 of the ALDS at 4:07 p.m. ET. Lance Lynn stumbled badly in the second half of the season and he has not fared well vs. the Astros this year. In college football, he recommends Houston -6 over Tulane at 7:30 p.m. ET. The offenses are equal, but Houston is much better on defense. Matt is also going with the Seahawks +2.5 over the Rams, as Russell Wilson and Seattle are always strong plays in prime time and as home underdogs.

Allan goes in the opposite direction with the Rams at -2.5, citing trends that clearly favor Los Angeles. His top college football play is Ole Miss -5.5 over Arkansas on Saturday at noon ET. Arkansas is coming off a bad loss and the doldrums may linger. Allan is also taking the Titans -4 over the Jaguars on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET, revealing some very enlightening facts about Tennessee following upset losses.

Larry's featured Thursday night prop is Jamal Adams Over 6.5 tackles/assists. He expects the Rams to dominate time of possession, and Adams is blitzing less and racking up good tackle totals every week so far this season.
