Not much seems to have changed on Montezuma Mesa, with the herky-jerky offense still looking for quality QB play that it has seemingly been without since the days of Air Coryell ended in the early 70s, and off of scoring fewer than 10 ppg vs. Pac-12 contenders UCLA and Oregon State. Though not sure Boise quite at that level this season (indeed, the Broncos were already blasted by Pac heavyweight Washington), the Broncos haven’t yet looked a smooth-running machine, either, with QB Taylen Green having already been knocked around (he was KO’s in the UCF game on Sept. 9, though returned last week vs. North Dakota) and has an uninspiring 3-4 TDPP-pick ratio this far.

This looks like the same old San Diego State team, weak offense that relies on a power running game and a solid defense. The Aztecs are 3-1 to the under in 2023 and HC Brady Hoke is 14-7 under at home in his 3+ years. Boise State HC Andy Avalos, a defensive guru, is 11-3 under on the road. The Broncos defense is top 2 in the MWC.
