Clark Lea continues to talk a big game at Vandy, but the Dores are too easily check-mated, as they were again by Dave Clawson at Wake Forest last week. We’ll take Barry Odom in a matchup of Xs and Os as well as wits vs. Lea, and UNLV seems to relish these opportunities in non-conference play, covering seven in a row outside of Mountain West competition after last week’s spread W at Michigan. Watching mobile Rebel QB Doug Brumfield might remind Lea that he would have been well-advised to keep the elusive Mike Wright in the fold after last season rather than allowing him into the portal and eventually landing at Mississippi State.
