Tony Elliott's debut season with the Cavaliers was a massive disappointment, with the decision to scale back the offense from Bronco Mendenhall's full-throttle attack, effectively neutering what was one of the nation's most potent units in 2021. Among other things, QB Brennan Armstrong, a revelation the year before, looked lost, and hit the portal as soon as he could (he's now at NC State). Moreover, with an ACC starting QB gig to offer, the best Elliott could do was land an FCS transfer from Monmouth, Tony Muskett. Don't expect the Josh Heupel-led Vols offense to scale back post-Hendon Hooker, as Joe Milton looked awfully good late last season after Hooker went down.
