Things got a bit nervous at the Pit on Monday as the Southland's Nicholls was hanging around before UNM finally secured a 91-84 win. Three-point shooting was mostly on the blink (only 7 for 36), potentially disturbing for the Lobos after they did lots of business beyond the arc last season with Gs Jaelen House, Jamal Mashburn Jr, and Jemarl Baker...all of whom departed. Meanwhile, good reports from Westwood on Mick Cronin far-flung group of transfers (via Ok State, South Dakota State, Louisville, Oregon State, USC). This appears a quality collection, however, led by ex-OSU wing Tyler Bilodeau, who scored 18 in the opening romp past Rider. Cronin's bench also looks to go a solid 9-10 deep.
