Receiver Odell Beckham Jr. is one of the most prominent free agents on the champion Los Angeles Rams, but whether OBJ plays at all next season is now up in the air as reportedly he did suffer a torn ACL in Sunday's Super Bowl 56 win against the Cincinnati Bengals. Guys are able to come back faster from ACL tears these days, it seems, but there's no way he will be ready for at least the start of the 2022 campaign. ACL surgery is different for everyone, but it's generally accepted that it takes nine months to fully recover.

Beckham had two catches for 52 yards and a TD in the first half Sunday before crumpling to the ground on a non-contact left knee injury in the second quarter.  Beckham also tore the same ligament in his left knee during the 2020 season with the Browns. That injury also happened against the Bengals, strangely enough. Beckham caught 27 passes for 305 yards with five TDs for the Rams in eight regular-season games after being released by Cleveland. He had 21 receptions for 288 yards with two TDs in four postseason games.

Los Angeles clearly missed Beckham despite the win as QB Matthew Stafford was 2-of-6 for 25 yards and an interception in the first half after the Beckham injury. He started 10-of-12 for 140 yards and two touchdowns, including one to Beckham. According to Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer, LA's game-winning touchdown to Cooper Kupp came on a play originally designed for Beckham. The Rams also lost receiver Robert Woods to a torn ACL in November.

According to Spotrac, the Rams are about $11 million over the 2022 salary cap. Beckham has said he would be willing to accept a pay cut to stay with the team. Los Angeles has several other key free agents, including offensive linemen Austin Corbett and Brian Allen, cornerback Darious Williams and pass-rusher Von Miller.

Los Angeles is a +1000 third-favorite to win Super Bowl 57 at Caesars Sportsbook.
