NFL Week 2 Monday Night Football odds: Bills -7 vs. Titans, Eagles -2.5 vs. Vikings

The NFL has released the Monday night doubleheader schedule for Week 2.

The NFL used to have a Week 1 Monday night doubleheader but did away with that in 2021 with the addition of a Week 18 doubleheader on Saturday. Once again, there is no Week 1 double this year on Monday, but the league will have one in Week 2 and announced today that it will be Titans at Bills in the first matchup at 7:15 p.m. ET on ESPN and Eagles at Vikings at 8:30 p.m. ET on ABC – so not a doubleheader so much as two games simply with staggered start times.

The sportsbooks have released odds for the games and Buffalo opened at -7 against Tennessee in a matchup of 2021 AFC division champions. The clubs played Week 6 also on a Monday last year in Nashville and the Titans won 34-31 as 6-point underdogs. Bills quarterback Josh Allen was stopped on a sneak on fourth-and-goal at the Tennessee 3 with 22 seconds remaining as Coach Sean McDermott opted to go for the win instead of the chip-shot field goal to tie. Allen threw for 353 yards and three scores. Derrick Henry rushed for 143 yards and three TDs to lead Tennessee.

It's the fifth season in a row the clubs will play and first in Buffalo since 2018. The Bills are +700 favorites at Caesars Sportsbook to win their first Super Bowl.

For the second game, Philadelphia is -2.5 against Minnesota. The Vikings and Eagles last played in the Twin Cities in 2019 and the Vikings rolled 38-20. Their last game in Philly was a 23-21 Vikings win in 2018. It will be the third time the Vikings will play the Eagles on a Monday. Philadelphia was home for the first two and won 32-24 in 1990 and 27-16 in 2004.

The full NFL schedule will be released Thursday. We previously learned what the five international games (three in London, one in Munich, one in Mexico City) would be as well as the first Amazon Thursday night game with the Chiefs as 3-point home favorites in Week 2 vs. the Chargers.
