It will be cold and the air not conducive for hitting when the Snakes visit the Bay. Plus Blake Snell should be tough for 5 and JMonty will make his debut knowing he will only be asked to go 5. Fade the 5th run.
Giants starter Blake Snell hasn't looked good so far, but he's dominated Arizona in his career, going 5-1 with a 1.11 ERA. Diamondbacks starter Jordan Montgomery had a 10.57 ERA in two starts at AAA this month. He's ramping up slowly. Back the Giants in the first five innings.
For Arizona's sake, the D-backs are going to need to do a bit more at the plate than in the series opener at Oracle Park last night, when they barely registered a threat in a 5-0 loss. Here's saying they should do more tonight, however, as Blake Snell's first two starts for the Giants are hardly befitting a defending Cy Young winner; perhaps his late signing and start this spring has had something to do with it, but he has hardly been Snell-like sharp (we'll say...10 runs and 9 hits across 7 IP...sheesh!) in two outings. Jordan Montgomery also makes his Arizona debut tonight, but we know Snell is badly out of form. We'll take a chance Montgomery is not. Play D-backs on Money Line
