Not much more than a home-court pick and Oklahoma City (10-1 in past 11 at home) being overdue a win in the series as it has dropped eight straight to the Kings. The Thunder have lost two straight overall but yet to lose three in a row this season. I'm sure the players are aware of that fact.
The Thunder have lost back-to-back games, but both of those came on the road. They are 20-6 at home this season, including going 10-1 over the last 11 home games. The Thunder don’t have any injuries of note for this matchup, so look for them to continue to thrive at home and come away with a victory.
A couple of angles to consider here for the Thunder, including two previous losses to the Kings this season, and how OKC might bounce back from consecutive losses, one of those a wicked 146-11 pasting absorbed against the Mavs in their last outing. But they are at home, where they've won 10 of their last 11, and no injuries of note, though Gordon Hayward not yet ready to make his Thunder debut after the trade from the Hornets late last week. A bit of back-and-forth lately from Sacto, as the Kings might have a tough time replicating the crescendo of Friday's 135-106 blowout of Denver (two of the lesser efforts of the season preceded the Nuggets triumph). Harrison Barnes has been one of my favorite fade candidates as we've seen some drastically different scoring and combo lines for the veteran forward. Barnes is averaging just 12.1 PPG on the season and 1.2 APG. From a betting standpoint, Barnes is highly volatile and has a wide range of outcomes. He's likely to be defended by Jalen Williams who is one of the premiere perimeter defenders in the league.
De'Aaron Fox got off to a fantastic start to the season how the All-Star guard has been struggling for the last month and a half. Fox was averaging over 30 PPG but his season average has fallen to 26 PPG as Fox has averaged just 22 PPG since January 1st. I think this is a nice buy low spot on Fox who is facing a Thunder squad that rank 10th in Pace. I also think Fox will be up for a duel against another fellow former Kentucky alum and elite All-Star Guard Shai Gilgeous Alexander.
