The Pistons are trying to avoid the longest losing streak ever. Like EVER. And tonight is their best chance to win. Therefore I see them absolutely selling out on D. Plus no Lauri M. For the Jazz so that makes scoring even tougher. Plus the Pistons can’t shoot (a huge reason they are in this spot). UNDER
This is the Pistons’ best chance to end their losing streak. They have lost a whopping 24 games in the row, but the Jazz will be without most of their top players in the second game of a back-to-back set. Cade Cunningham exploded for 43 points against the Hawks on Monday, which was a good matchup for him because they have the fourth-worst defensive rating in the league. The Jazz haven’t been much better, posting the sixth-worst defensive rating. Cunningham knows this is his opportunity to break the streak and earn a win at home, so look for him to jack up a ton of shots and hit this over.
Maybe this is to be the night for the Pistons to break their numbing losing streak that now sits at 24 games. The streak-breaking scenario is plausible, as visiting Utah just 2-13 on the road, and will be without top scorer Lauri Markkanen and key cog Talen Horton-Tucker tonight at Little Caesars. But not even 43 points from Cade Cunningham could stave off Detroit defeat two nights ago vs. the Hawks, and principle alone dictates a must-vote against Detroit laying any points whatsoever as it remains trapped in this losing streak now approaching two months! Play Jazz
This it for Detroit. If the Pistons manage to lose their 25th game in a row (they last won with Texas up 1-0 in the World Series), they probably are breaking the record of 28 straight as it's hard to see a realistic win for a while after tonight. Incidentally, DK is offering a new special O/U win total of 9.5 for the Pistons, but heavily juiced on Over. Utah is on the second of a B2B, still without Jordan Clarkson and Keyonte George and 2-13 away. Thought about just a first quarter play, but Detroit has been so bad in that quarter and the Utah guys should start to tire in the second half.
