The Wizards have lost six in a row and won't have an answer for LaMelo Ball, who is averaging 32.1 points over his last eight games. The Hornets just upset the Celtics and are getting great production from center Mark Williams; he had 18 points and 16 rebounds in Monday's OT win over Boston. Look for Ball and company to shred Washington's horrific defense.
Washington won in Charlotte earlier this year but that should only motivate the Bugs to avoid the home series sweep. The Hornets also didn't have Miles Bridges then. He had a double-double to help lead an upset of Boston on Monday. Just have to hope no letdown game overall for the Hornets. Deni Avdija (12.7 ppg, 5.5 rpg) is iffy for the Wiz with an illness.

Gordon Hayward is playing big minutes in an offense where he gets up 12-15 shots per game and tends to really stake advantage of soft matchups. This would qualify as one of those soft matchups against a Wizards squad that is 2nd in PACE and 27th in Defensive Efficiency. Hayward has faced WAS twice this season and scored 18 and 27. Look for the veteran forward to chip in 16-22 points in what should be a high scoring affair.
