Detroit has played four straight close games so the back end of the bullpen could be very thin tonight in Kansas City. And the starting pitching matchup certainly favors the Royals with Cole Ragans against former Tigers No. 1 overall pick Casey Mize. Ragans is 2-0 with a 1.54 ERA this year vs. Detroit in two starts. Mize has a 5.05 ERA on the road. He hasn't faced KC in 2024 but a fair amount of Royals have good splits off him led by Salvador Perez.
