Is the worm starting to turn in Minnesota? The Twins were always far too talented to keep playing so poorly and now they've won five of their last six games. Let's take them on the run line here, as I like a comfortable victory. Royals starter Kris Bubic has allowed the Twins to crush him (.390/.468/.585) in three previous outings. Also of note, the Twins actually have a winning record in nine-inning games (18-16). Just keep it out of extras!
I am going to go with the Twins on the run line. I think they win this game but do not want to risk the juice on the money line, as I see the majority of the winning situations for Minnesota come in at multiple runs. The Twins are one of the hotter teams in baseball and are looking to correct their bad start at home this year. This is a great place to do it, as Royals pitcher Kris Bubic has been battling his fastball command and hung a few sliders over his last few starts. Against a dangerous Twins lineup, that could be a recipe for disaster. Play the Twins against the spread.
The Twins have now won four straight games and seven of their last 10 games, but the Royals have won six of 10 themselves. Kris Bubic has pitched extremely well this season and he has allowed just two runs in his last 22.2 IP. Randy Dobnak re-entered the rotation in his last start and had his best outing of the season. However, in his outing before that he allowed two runs on two home runs in three innings against the Twins. Take the value in the Royals here.
