Angels vs. Yankees odds, lines: Advanced computer model reveals picks for April 20, 2023, matchup

SportsLine's Projection Model has generated picks for Thursday's matchup between the New York Yankees and Los Angeles Angels

The New York Yankees and Los Angeles Angels will meet for the rubber match of their three-game series on Thursday afternoon. Los Angeles notched a 5-2 win in Tuesday's series opener, but New York responded with a 3-2 win in 10 innings on Wednesday. Yankees slugger Aaron Judge hit a two-run home run and saved the go-ahead run with a diving catch in the eighth inning.

The game is slated to begin at 4:05 p.m. ET from Yankee Stadium in New York City. The Yankees are -155 on the money line (risk $155 to win $100) in the latest Yankees vs. Angels odds from Caesars Sportsbook, while the over/under for total runs scored is 8.5 (see the latest lines for every game on our MLB odds page).

Before making any Angels vs. Yankees picks, you NEED to see the latest MLB predictions from the SportsLine Projection Model.

This model simulates every MLB game 10,000 times. It went 331-285 on top-rated MLB money-line picks (+357) over the past two seasons, and it finished the 2022 MLB season on a 20-14 roll. Anybody who has followed it has seen profitable returns!

The model knows Judge hit a two-run homer and walked two times in Wednesday's extra-inning win. He got the scoring started in the first inning when he smashed a 412-foot homer for his sixth long ball of the season. Judge has cooled down over the past week, but he has still walked six times during that span along with hitting two homers. First baseman Anthony Rizzo leads New York with a .311 batting average, four homers and nine RBI.

The model also knows the Angels were close to winning the first two games of the series. Judge robbed Los Angeles star Shohei Ohtani of a homer after he had gone deep on Tuesday. Gio Urshela tied Wednesday's game at 2-2 with a two-out RBI single against his former team. He is tied with center fielder Mike Trout for the team-high in hits (19), with both players batting at least .297.

Now, it has set its sights on Yankees vs. Angels. We can tell you the model is leaning Under on the total, projecting 7.9 combined runs, and it also says one side of the money line has ALL the value! You ABSOLUTELY need to see it before locking in any MLB picks of your own.
