Jets vs. Bills NFL Week 14 odds, spread, props: Buffalo taking big money despite loss in first meeting; Garrett Wilson new Offensive Rookie of Year favorite

The New York Jets look for an unlikely sweep of the Buffalo Bills on Sunday.

In Week 9, the New York Jets were 10.5-point home underdogs against the Super Bowl-favored Buffalo Bills but won 20-17 with a dominant defensive performance against Josh Allen & Co. Apparently bettors at Caesars Sportsbook aren't all that impressed with that result -- or home-field advantage really matters -- because Buffalo is again -10.5 for Sunday's rematch and taking the most spread action of any team.

As of this writing, 88.2% of the money is on Buffalo (most of any Sunday game)… yet 72.3% of the tickets are on New York. The Jets are looking to become just the fourth team since 1990 to defeat an opponent twice in a season as an underdog of at least 8 points. The others:

  • 1995: Washington over Dallas
  • 1996: Carolina over San Francisco
  • 2001: New England over Indianapolis
  • 2006: Houston over Jacksonville

The Jets seeking their first season sweep of an AFC East opponent since they went 2-0 against the Bills in 2016.

New York receiver Garrett Wilson, the No. 10 overall pick out of Ohio State, is now the +220 favorite at Caesars to win NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year. Wilson was almost a forgotten man when Zach Wilson was the quarterback, and the receiver took a veiled shot at the QB after New York's ugly 10-3 loss in New England in Week 11. Yet the former Buckeye become a different player in the two games since Mike White took over under center with a combined 23 targets, 13 catches, 257 yards (most in NFL over the past two weeks) and two scores.

"I know I'd go to war for that boy. He's got something special about him," Garrett Wilson recently said of White, who clearly will start the rest of the season barring injury. Zach Wilson will be inactive again Sunday with Joe Flacco as the No. 2. Garrett Wilson is set at over/under 61.5 yards for this one

White is only the fourth Jets quarterback in the past 25 years to throw for 300 yards in back-to-back games. He's set at O/U 247.5 yards Sunday. No Jets QB has had three straight games with at least 300 passing yards since Ken O'Brien in 1985. Zach Wilson has one 300-yard game in his 20 career starts.

Buffalo (9-3) is back as the AFC's top seed and is the -125 favorite to end the season with it. Kansas City currently sits at +150. The Bills have a head-to-head tiebreaker vs. the Chiefs in hand. Josh Allen is set at over/under 255.5 passing yards and 1.5 passing touchdowns for this Sunday. In the first meeting with the Jets, he was an ugly 18-for-4 for 205 yards and two picks. His 46.8 passer rating was a season-worst and it's his only game without a passing TD.
