:

--The Magic got a break when the Pistons were without point guard Chauncey Billups in Game 4, but they failed to capitalize against rookie Rodney Stuckey, who teamed with Lindsey Hunter to provide the Pistons with some decent point guard play.

--The Pistons pulled a surprise on the Magic by giving Antonio McDyess his first start of the series, replacing Jason Maxiell. McDyess responded with a game-high 14 rebounds.

--The Magic, for the first time, have some hope of getting long-lost Fran Vazquez onto the roster by next season. Vazquez, their No. 1 draft pick in 2005, has been playing in Spain but now sounds receptive to coming to the NBA next season.

QUOTE TO NOTE
"The difference in the game: They had 18 second-chance points. It killed us." -- Coach Stan Van Gundy, summing up Game 4.
