PLAYER NOTES

--Rudy Gay found out before the game that he's in the dunk contest on NBA All-Star weekend, and then he went out and had 24 points and 10 rebounds against the Bulls.

Gay will be competing against Orlando's Dwight Howard, Minnesota's Gerald Green and Toronto's Jamario Moon.

--Mike Conley had 10 points and 10 assists. It was Conley's first career double-double.

"I'm getting there, but I'm not going to say I'm all the way there yet," he said. "I'm learning every day and I'm trying to get better as it goes. I think I've got a lot of room for improvement, but I think I'm starting to get a better feel for the game."
