Carlos Zambrano has looked more mature and more controlled this year. He is walking very few batters and striking out many of them. He is playing for the surging Chicago Cubs who lead the majors in run scored so the Big Z is going to get plenty of run support. Not as if he needs it though, Carlos has given up 2 or fewer earned runs in 3 of his 4 starts. A few other pitchers will be deserving, but when its all said and done Carlos Zambrano will recieve the Cy Young Award!

This was a bold and now stupid prediction by me. Carlos Zambrano has had a great year but isn't going to win the Cy Young award. Brandon Webb looks like the front runner to take the award home.
