--The Sharks bowed out of the Stanley Cup playoffs during Game 6 of the second round for the third straight postseason. Game 6 has not yielded good results over the years. After losing to both Calgary and Dallas this playoff season, the Sharks are now 2-12 all-time in Game 6.

--The Sharks enjoyed a regular season that featured a franchise record for points (108), a team record for road wins and a top penalty-killing unit -- both categories that led the league -- and won their third Pacific Division title in the process.

QUOTE TO NOTE
"There's no consolation in how well you played or how long the game went. It's very disappointing. We had higher expectations and higher hopes than what we did this year." -- C Curtis Brown.

1) Thorton, Clowe, Cheechoo

2) Marleau, Michalek, Pavelski

3) Roenick, Shelley, Setoguchi

4) Grier, Mitchell, Goc

d1) Murray and Vla ...(more)

Campbell is gone, Rivet was traded, Carle was traded...Why on gods green earth would they trade Carle for older - and what looks like - less effective defensemen?  Are they sick of the inconsistency back there from the young guys cause they signed Rob Blake too who is not young by any standards.  Are they trying to turn ...(more)
