--G Chris Osgood made 28 saves to move past Terry Sawchuk and become the club's career leader in playoff wins (48). Osgood's last trip to the Finals came 10 years ago, also after a Game 6 victory over Dallas in the conference finals.

--Dallas Drake had a goal and an assist and continued to provide a physical presence as he reached the Stanley Cup Finals for the first time in his 15-year career.

--Stephane Robidas scored Dallas' lone goal, on the power play, at 2:27 of the third period. The Red Wings, however, did a terrific job in killing six other Dallas power plays.

--The team that scored first won every game in the series.

QUOTE TO NOTE
"We kind of had a little bit of a stumble in Games 4 and 5. The way we responded tonight is something everyone in this dressing room should be proud of. There was no panic, we were sure of ourselves. We felt if we played our structured system we were going to have an opportunity to win the game." -- Center Kris Draper.

Does anyone else miss the rivalries of the 90's. The Avalanche obviously were one of them. I remember sneaking down to watch the game when I was 11 when Osgood and Roy got into a fight. Those were the good days. I wish there was a game that I could get super pumped up about in the regular season. There really isn't too much competition in ...(more)

I understand that Scotty is getting old and wants to spend time with his son, after thinking about it im not as upset as i was before. I understand and do wish him the best.

The only thing that bothers me is that instead of spending time with his son like going and getting some food or just hanging out, he has to do it through hockey. Im just confussed about that. Hockey is the thing t ...(more)
