--Michael Gearon Jr., one of Atlanta's many owners, recently suggested in an interview with the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that some significant changes could be made to the team's front office. Most notably, he said, the team could be looking into bringing in an outside adviser to run the hockey team. Such a move would likely include the promotion of general manager Don Waddell to a larger role with the ownership group, which also runs the NBA's Hawks and Philips Arena.
--When Tampa Bay won the recent NHL draft lottery, it meant more bad news for the Thrashers. The Lightning will likely select center Steve Stamkos with the top pick, giving Atlanta another divisional foe to deal with for years to come.
--Atlanta's American Hockey League affiliate, the Chicago Wolves, reached the second round of the Calder Cup playoffs, defeating the Milwaukee Admirals in six games.

Hey guys...Flyers fan here, just wondering what everyone thinks of that damn Ruutu. Being a flyers fan I always have to see and deal with his trash out on the ice.
