Even with the end of the regular season nearly a month behind them, the Lightning still haven't managed to hide from the black cloud of bad luck that hovered over the franchise since August.

Lightning's Halpern sidelined with serious knee injury at worlds
Tampa Bay Lightning center Jeff Halpern ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee during the world hockey championships and is expected to be sidelined until late December or early January.

According to the Ottawa Citizen, Coach John Tortorella suggested during an end-of-season meeting with GM Jay Feater it might be time for him to move on. A week later, however, Tortorella said he changed his mind and wanted to be part of re-building the franchise. However, the Tampa Tribune reported a rumor out of Canada suggesting Tortorella would be fired once new owner Oren Koules officially takes control of the franchise. His replacement?
