Coyotes able to re-sign Montoya: The Phoenix Coyotes re-signed goaltender Al Montoya, who was acquired in a February trade with the New York Rangers and spent all of last season in the minors. Phoenix also re-signed three other minor leaguers -- left wing David Spina, defenseman Drew Fata and right wing Derek Nesbitt. The length and financial terms of the contracts were not disclosed. The former University of Michigan star was 16-8-3 with a 2.54 GAA with the Rangers' AHL affiliate in Hartford before the trade. There is a chance he spends some time with the parent club in 2008-09, but he won't become a full-time starter until Iyla Bryzgalov suffers an injury. Montoya remains just a long-term Fantasy keeper.
