Luongo has unhappy end to 2007-08: Roberto Luongo made his 31st straight start for Vancouver Saturday against the Flames, but was replaced by Curtis Sanford at the start of the second period after giving up three goals on nine shots in an opening period plagued by poor defensive play. "I don't really care," Luongo said. "My season ended Thursday as far as I'm concerned. I tried to bring it but obviously I didn't have anything in the tank." Sanford finished the game making 15 saves, but he also allowed four goals. (Updated 04/06/2008).

Fantasy Analysis
Luongo might not want to recognize Saturday's outing, but it does go into the record books as a loss. The Canucks faltered down the stretch and Luongo paid the price. He lost all three April starts and seven of his last eight games. He allowed two or more goals in his final eight contests. Luongo came into the 2007-08 season as the highest-rated Fantasy goalie after winning 47 games in 2006-07. He won 35 games for the third straight season, but is more of a top five Fantasy goalie heading into 2008-09, not so much the consensus top option anymore. The Canucks TG will remain a high-end Fantasy option as well. (Updated 04/06/2008).
