The Sun Herald reports Saints RB Deuce McAllister will never be the same on two surgically repaired knees. McAllister still holds value to the Saints, but asking him to even be the kind of back he was in 2006 might be too cumbersome. Reggie Bush will see more carries, so Deuce's workload probably won't exceed 17 carries per game. The Saints will also be re-taught why Pierre Thomas made this team once again during this year's camp. (Updated 07/21/2008)
The Sun Herald reports that Saints RB Reggie Bush will get 215 carries, 85 catches, 1,700 combined yards and 13 total touchdowns in 2008. The paper says the Bush of 2006 will show up rather than the injury- and struggle-plagued season from a year ago. Staying in New Orleans throughout the offseason certainly won't hurt his production, according to the paper. (Updated 07/21/2008)
Mark Campbell didn't play in 2007 due to a back injury that kept him out all year. He was placed on Injured Reserve before Week 2. (Updated 01/30/2008)
Saints CB Mike McKenzie totaled 52 tackles (45 solo) with three interceptions -- two returned for touchdowns -- and 17 passes defensed. It was enough to make him a top-50 Fantasy DB in 2007. However, McKenzie tore his ACL in Week 16 and will spend the offseason rehabbing his knee, a process that will cut his offseason camp schedule and likely keep him out of the opening of training camp (ACL rehab usually takes nine months).
