Ravens TE Daniel Wilcox jogged on the side during Wednesday's minicamp practice and participated in some individual drills and is on target to recover fully from toe surgery by late July, reports the Carroll County Times. "We expect Dan Wilcox to be full-go the first day of training camp," Harbaugh said. "He was out here running individuals this week, and he looked pretty good." (Updated 06/12/2008)
Ravens TE Todd Heap was held out of practice Sunday for precautionary reasons after being placed on injured reserve last season with a strained hamstring. "He's just rehabbing those hamstrings," coach John Harbaugh said. "There are certain issues he's got to strengthen and certain flexibility issues he's got. We do not want a reinjured hamstring." Despite the adversity of a torn anterior cruciate ligament during his first training camp practice as a rookie, subsequent knee cartilage damage and a broken foot last year that both required surgeries, Ravens LB Dan Cody remains in competition to emerge as a situational pass rusher reports the Carroll County Times on Wednesday. The Ravens' coaching staff views Cody as a potential X-factor. Given his lengthy injury history, the team isn't counting on him for full-time duty. However, they remain encouraged by the 6-foot-5, 255-pounder's athleticism and motor. "Cody looks great," Ravens coach John Harbaugh said. "That's a wild-card. That would be a bonus for us."
