What the heck happened to that defense? They gave up the fewest points in the league during the regular season and they couldn't even stop Volek when they had to do it. Peyton Manning made two mistakes, but this loss is on the defense. It's hard to believe Tony Dungy will leave after that defensive mess.
12/31/07CB+
The backups fought a tough game, but they didn't have enough offense without the big guns. They do have depth on this team.
12/24/07B+B
They played it like it mattered, which is a way to keep sharp for the playoffs. Peyton Manning had another good day and the defense totally shut down the Texans offense.
12/17/07BA
The punt return by T.J. Rushing for a touchdown to make it 10-0 was huge. Peyton Manning didn't put up huge numbers, but he made the game-winning throw late. The defense played well shutting down the Oakland passing game.
12/10/07AB-
They dominated this one from start to finish. Peyton Manning lit up the Ravens for four touchdown passes -- two to Anthony Gonzalez. The defense shut down Kyle Boller and the Ravens offense.
12/03/07B-B+
Peyton Manning had a big day with four touchdown passes and the offense owned third down. The defense had trouble with the Jaguars offense.
11/26/07B+B-
Peyton Manning came out of his slump to light up the Falcons. Anthony Gonzalez had his first 100-yard day receiving. The defense did a good job limiting the Falcons offense.
11/19/07B-C
The defense played well. The offense didn't do much; they just can't seem to get into a groove without Marvin Harrison. The strategy at the end of the game was questionable.
11/12/07CB-
Peyton Manning was picked six times and a punt and kickoff were returned for touchdowns, yet he had a chance at the end. Amazing. Adam Vinatieri choked.
11/05/07B-A+
Blowing a 10-point lead hurts. They couldn't make the plays down the stretch, and the Patriots did. The defense played well for most of the day.
10/29/07A+A
They started slow, which you would expect coming off a tough Monday night game. But they showed just how good they are, turning it on when needed. Here come the Patriots.
10/22/07AB+
The offense was efficient and did what it had to do, but this was about the defense. They limited the Jaguars to 226 yards of offense.
10/08/07B+B+
No Marvin Harrison, no Joseph Addai and the offense still keeps moving the football. That's the sign of a good team. The defense didn't allow the Bucs to run the football, even without Bob Sanders.
10/01/07B+B
They ran it at will against the Broncos and Peyton Manning threw three touchdown passes. The defense gave up some yards on the ground, which is always a concern.
09/24/07BB-
The Colts moved the ball on offense and the defense limited the Texans, especially on the ground. But the special teams hurt. They gave up a touchdown on a kickoff return and had a long punt return set up another.
09/17/07B-A+
They made it close in the end, but the defense got the stop when it needed to. Peyton Manning had a nice day, but drives kept bogging down. Adam Vinatieri had a rough day, which is rare.
09/10/07A+-
They were explosive on offense, but the most impressive thing was their defense. Did they look fast or what?
