The Green Bay Packers officially announced the signings Wednesdayof three players who took part in their recent rookie minicamp on atryout basis: cornerbacks Condrew Allen (Portland State) and Kyle Ward (Louisiana-Lafayette), and offensive tackle Ryan Considine(Louisiana Tech).
Allen and Ward are both 6-foot-1 and 199 pounds. Considine is 6-4 and 302.
The Packers have 78 players on their roster, which is limited to80 players. Running back Ryan Grant, who has not signed hisexclusive-rights tender, and the nine selections in the recent NFLdraft do not count toward the roster.
Former Arkansas defensive tackle Fred Bledsoe was told that hewould also be signed, but arthroscopic ankle surgery has delayedthat.
"(We're) still talking with the Packers," said Steve Snider,Bledsoe's agent. "They say they want him back in six weeks after his'scope.' "
The Packers begin organized team activities on May 19.
