In Week 1, as a member of the Broncos, he collided with Bills TE Kevin Everett on a helmet-to-helmet hit that temporarily paralyzed Everett. Hixon was waived after Week 4 after failing to make a catch with Denver. The New York Giants picked him up off waivers a day later.
