LJ 'lucky' to get 30 reps weekly: Yahoo! Sports reports that Chiefs head coach Herman Edwards still sees RB Larry Johnson as his featured back, but he refuses to let him hoard the rushing workload. Edwards says that second-year RB Kolby Smith and rookie RB Jamaal Charles will factor into Kansas City's running game. "He knows he's going to get the ball. ... He's going to touch it a lot, but those other guys are going to touch it some, too. Larry is not going to carry the ball 40 times (per game). He'll be lucky to get 30." (Updated 06/12/2008).

Fantasy Analysis
Edwards envisions Charles getting 10-to-12 touches per game and Smith having a role as well. Meanwhile, Johnson says he's physically at 100 percent and ready for the start of training camp. He's already practiced this offseason and the foot injury that ended his awful 2007 season early is behind him. Even if Johnson gets 22-to-25 touches per week, it's still much better than the majority of running backs out there. Plus, Edwards has been known to fudge his preseason projections in the heat of a game. Johnson remains a No. 1 Fantasy RB worth a pick toward the latter half of the first round in all drafts this summer. (Updated 06/12/2008).

Our Dave Richard explains some solid running back draft strategies for Fantasy owners to consider in 2008, and adds why there are so many good rushers out there for people to consider on Draft Day.
Sure, drafting who scores the touchdowns and racks up the most yardage goes a long way to winning a Fantasy title, but finding the guys who are the focal points of their offense is vital. Jamey Eisenberg breaks down all of the red zone and target data from the last three seasons.
Should Fantasy owners keep LaDainian Tomlinson or Steven Jackson? Marques Colston or Reggie Wayne? Derek Anderson or Carson Palmer? The answer to these scintillating questions and more can be found in our 2008 keeper rankings.
Is it better to take running backs early or pass on stud rushers for better quarterbacks and wide receivers? Our Jamey Eisenberg takes a look at two different draft strategies to use in 2008.
