Toomer feels stronger than ever: It's not a stretch to say the 33-year-old Amani Toomer looks way ahead of where he was at this point last year, reports the New York Daily News. One year ago, Toomer was rehabbing his way back from a torn ACL in his left knee. It was an injury that had many wondering if his career was nearing an end. But 59 catches, 760 yards, and one Super Bowl championship later, the 13-year veteran feels like he's just getting started. "It always could be better," Toomer said. "I felt like last season, I wouldn't say I was disappointed, but I felt like I didn't have the season I wanted to have at the beginning of the year. Toward the end I started coming around a little bit, but I feel like I need to put together a whole complete season." That desire is one of the reasons why Toomer never considered retirement, despite the lure of riding off into the sunset after finally winning the Super Bowl. But he said the biggest reason was that "I still enjoy it. It's not really work to me." (Updated 06/04/2008).

Fantasy Analysis
Toomer will compete with Steve Smith for playing time, but Toomer will remain the starter opposite Plaxico Burress. Look for Toomer to again play well and be considered a No. 4 Fantasy option in 2008. He is a great option with a late-round pick in all leagues. (Updated 06/04/2008).
