Overview
Classic over-achiever whose production at the SEC level is bound to generate interest from scouts. Medder has good size and uses his hands forcefully to generate an initial advantage on defenders, but his marginal footwork and overall athleticism make him a classic candidate to move inside.
Analysis
Positives: Long-armed tackle with classic size. Effective drive blocker from the right tackle position. Explosive use of hands to generate movement on contact in the running game, and can gain an initial advantage as a pass blocker due to his hand punch. High effort player who works on the little things to improve.
Negatives: Marginal overall athlete who lacks quickness in all phases of the game. Marginal quickness and lateral agility as a pass blocker, and is stiff and un-athletic blocking at the second level in the running game. Limited upside potential.
