Warrick came to Michigan State as a highly-recruited junior college All-American at Hutchison Community College, but never really became a big-time playmaker. His one tackle for loss, zero interceptions and three passes defended in 2007 did not impress. He certainly looks the part, however, and will get a chance to show what he can do in a team's training camp.

Positives: Looks the part, with a tall, well-built frame … Really loves to hit, lowering his shoulder on any player crossing in front of him … Will close to the ball quickly … Has the long arm span to get at least a hand on ballcarriers in the open field … Will break down to make it more difficult for backs to make a move in the hole.

Negatives: Instincts are very questionable … Bites hard on play-action … Does not make many plays on the ball, or show great hands for the interception … Doesn't play as strong as he looks, often getting caught up in trash or receiver blocks … Often a step late to the play, both against the run and the pass … Does not always take the correct angle to the ballcarrier, whether he's attacking a play or trying to recover … With his size and speed, he needs to become an impact player on special teams to ensure a roster spot.
