--Not long before Game 6, Wizards forward Darius Songaila received a one-game suspension -- for Friday's contest -- for hitting LeBron James in the face in Game 5.
"Did I think it was intentional? I'm not so sure it was. But it happened," James said.
Wizards coach Eddie Jordan and Songaila, who averaged 5.8 points and 2.6 rebounds in the series, said the contact was unintentional.
This, however, is not how NBA executive vice president Stu Jackson saw the contact.
"Songaila's contact was not made in the normal course of a basketball play, and he struck LeBron James in the face, and by rule receives an automatic suspension," Jackson said. "So, yes. We feel it was intentional."
--Before the Wizards' defenseless effort Friday, only Detroit had held its first-round opponent to a lower shooting percentage than the Wizards had. Only Philadelphia's 41.7 percent was lower than Cleveland's 41.8 percent through five games.
--In being eliminated at home, the Wizards kept a 20-year streak alive that no one should be proud of. The Wizards have not been eliminated from the playoffs on the road since Detroit gave the Bullets the boot in 1988. The flip side to this is that the Wizards have been eliminated, on their home court, for the third year in a row, by the same team.
In the history of the NBA playoffs, teams have fallen behind 3-1 174 times. Of that number, just eight have rallied to win the series, most recently in 2006 when Phoenix rallied to defeat the Lakers.

The Jazz have declined to match the offer for Dee Brown, so we now have a third point guard. We have about 2.5 million dollars left. Who should we try to pick up? I gotta think we would want another rebounder. Maybe

With all due respect to Nick Young, who clearly has the skills to be a decent SG in this league, I'm not sure we kept the right guard. Young has leaping ability; able to "posterize" much taller men, but is he what this team needs at this point in time? No, he's not an Iverson, but he has th
He didn't say a word, but Dominic McGuire's game sent a message. That message: "I can shoot." I just got back from the Vegas Summer League and McGuire's play was clearly what stood o
i think tht if we sign gil we need to change something gil and deshawn are both sg's......we have a natural pg in ad and if we move deshawn to the bench tht will put gil at his natural position where he can be more effective and have a great ball handler and penetraton guy in ad.........tht also solves some of the defense and scoring problems by being able to bring deshawn in to give more peop
