--Outside shooting has plagued the Blazers in recent years, but the team vastly improved its three-point mark this season, to .378 from .346, the year before. That is partly due to the arrival of forward James Jones, who shot .446 from behind the arc and for a time led the NBA in three-point percentage. The Blazers' field-goal percentage (.449) stayed similar to 2006-07.

--On the way out the door for the summer, many Blazers ruminated on how enjoyable the season was and how close they felt to their teammates.

Indeed, the happy, fun locker rooms were a huge departure from the past for the team. "I was playing with an unbelievable group of guys," guard Jarrett Jack said. "That is something I haven't had since college. Whenever we had a tough time or a bump in the road, we rallied around each other and picked ourselves up."

QUOTE TO NOTE
"It's just a classy group of guys. They've been professionals all year long. We wanted to send a message to the fans this year that we've gotten better and the next step is to make the playoffs." -- Blazers coach Nate McMillan.

Watching the All-Star game made me a little sad. I loved seeing Brandon Roy get all that playing time and he played great. But watching him play along side Chris Paul in the backcourt made me realize just how huge that missed opportunity was a few yea ...(more)

This site rocks.  You get a free starting balance to bet on any games.  If you work it up to $10 or more, you can cash it out and get a check in the mail.  There are no catches and NO DEPOSITING is even allowed on the site.  If you lose your first bet, you don't even go to zero balance.  They give you your starting kitty over and over again.  This is a lot of f ...(more)

I think that if we keep everyone, we really dont need much. The only thing i could think of is a good perimeter defender? Someone who can guard Kobe, Carmelo, Durant etc.. What else?

So it appears the Trail Blazers are running out of steam, and recently have been playing like they want to better thier draft standing. Now, I know with this group that it is not actually happening, but with the Western Conference being so competitive, and the East having to field 8 playoff teams, does this slow finish now make them a lott ...(more)

First things first, get Rudy Fernandez here so he can adapt a little to our style of play, theres all around more taent in the US, so he not gonna put up stagering numbers nightly and have him run as a backup to Roy and run with the 2's. Then you sign Chris Paul, he's not losing any talent by leaving the ...(more)

This is going to be a tough game for the Blazers tonight I think with Brandon Roy and LaMarcus Aldridge both hobbled by injuries.  Has anyone heard their status for tonight?

The Blazers missed their opportunity to get a franchise point guard when they wouldn't let Outlaw go in the deal for Devin Harris.  Devin Harris would have been a great addition to this starting 5 for years to come.  The Blazers need to get a PG of the future and stop messing around with this PG by committee.  ...(more)

Hey Blazer's fans. I'm from St. Louis so that kind of makes me a Darius Miles fan. Do you know if the Trail Blazers are planning on getting him some PT this year. I mean cmon, it didn't take Amare 2 1/2 years to recover from microfracture surgery! Yeah, I get it, you hat ...(more)
