--The Hornets' average margin of victory in two regular-season and three postseason wins against the Spurs is 21.6 points and their smallest margin of victory is 18 points.

--The Hornets received a scare when center Tyson Chandler suffered a turf toe injury on his left foot in the fourth quarter and had to leave the game. He did not return but said he felt much better after the game. Coach Byron Scott said he expected Chandler and forward David West, who has a sore back, to both play in Game 6.

--Hornets point guard Chris Paul added an NBA All-Defensive Second Team selection to his All-Star selection at midseason and his first-team All-NBA pick last week. He led the NBA in steals. "That's an honor," Paul said of his selection. "It's my teammates. We were one of the top defensive teams in the league all year. That's because we communicated. That's why we're where we are right now." Paul is the fourth Hornet in franchise history to receive the honor. Hornets center Tyson Chandler also received votes for the team.
