ROTATION
Starters -- Point guard Rajon Rondo; Shooting guard Ray Allen; Small forward Paul Pierce; Power forward Kevin Garnett; Center Kendrick Perkins. Bench -- Guard Eddie House, Forward James Posey, Guard Tony Allen, Guard Sam Cassell, Forward Leon Powe, Forward Glen Davis, Forward P.J. Brown, Forward Brian Scalabrine, Guard Gabe Pruitt.

PLAYER NOTES

--F James Posey drew the wrath of his hometown crowd by taking down LeBron James hard for a second-quarter flagrant foul.

--G Rajon Rondo had his worst game of the postseason. He went 3 for 10 from the floor, but, more important, he didn't have a single assist.

--G Sam Cassell wasn't much relief off the bench at the point. He missed all six of his field goal attempts.

--G Ray Allen might have popped his head out of the sand with a good second half in Game 2, but he missed all five of his 3-point attempts Saturday.

Big game tonight, I think it would do wonders for the Celtics confidence if they could end the series tonight. If the get past the Cavaliers they are going to have to be able to win one on the road against the Pistons, I do ...(more)

I might get some disagreement on this, but I really feel a need to point this out.

I watched last night's game twice - live and recorded - as has been a habit of mine through the playoffs.  I have to say that Rondo's game was incredible, on both ends of the floor.  How many times can you say that your starting point guard had twice as many blocks as he did turnovers?&n ...(more)

(POLL)

We all know the Celtis don't have to win a road game to win the championship.

What or who is the reason the Celtics are 0-5 in the playoffs away from Boston?

I've seen about a thousand threads discussing what happened to the C's.  Is it Rivers, is it LeBron, is it pressure, it it that the big 3 are only passing to each other, etc etc etc.  Somehow, after all of these threads, no one has mentioned the real reason for it all...

My thoughts on Game 5 are very simple. Game 5 is a must win for the Celtics. There. I've said it. If the Celts lose tomorrow night I am damn near 100% positive they aren't winning Game 6 in Cleveland. I have just not seen anything from this team on the road in the playoffs. How a team that only lost 10 games on the road in ...(more)

What is wrong with this team on the road? If we do not take a game from the Cavaliers on the road. I think it will be a very tough up hill fight with the next round. Provided we beat LeBron James and company. The Pist ...(more)

Whew. I said Game 5 was a must win in my mind, and despite some early struggles the Celtics got the job done. I'd love for their 1st road win of the playoffs to come in Game 6, but my instinct tells me we'll be back in Boston for Game 7 with the Cavaliers and not Game 1 against the ...(more)

I know Doc isn't the one bricking jumpers left and right but his game coaching is just plain horrible.  Did anyone notice the lineup he sent out to start the 4th quarter?  The Cavs are on a 7-2 run to close the third and he decides to put in Big Baby for the first time basically in the series to start the fourth quarter.  He promptly turns it over on a bad pass to pierce and ...(more)

Can they do it on the road?  They have owned the Garden in 6 games but the Hawks; I repeat the Hawks won three games at home vs. the C's.  You know that James is going to finally show up at home tomorrow night. And the Cavs are much better than the Hawks!<o:p> < ...(more)

Everyone in the media seems to be talking about the fact that the Celtics were pushed to 7 games by the Hawks and how it might spell trouble against LeBron James.  But the way I saw the series, it looked ...(more)

Wow, you guys are great! When you got KG and Allen I knew you guys would be the best in the east but not by this much! I know people say the west is better and I would agree ( but I'm a little bias) but you guys are so much better than anybody in the east and better than most western conf. teams. If you guys play my Lakers I think that wou ...(more)
