According to TMZ.com, Richard Jefferson is being charged with one count of misdemeanor assault stemming from a January incident at the Graves 601 Hotel in Minneapolis. A witness said that Jefferson and another man got into a "minor verbal disagreement" that escalated to the point where Jefferson allegedly got on top of the man and choked him. (updated: 05/06/2008)
