Bobcats executive Bernie Bickerstaff, rendered extraneous by Larry Brown's hiring as coach, was terminated yesterday, The Post has learned.
He has one guaranteed year at $1 million left on his contract. A head coach and GM for several NBA teams, including the Bobcats, has been mentioned by many as a genuine contender for the Knicks' GM job and as a sideline mentor for Mark Jackson should he become Isiah Thomas' successor.
